ABOUT THE SOCIETY:
The British Society for Dermatopathology (BSD) is a subspecialist group of the British Association of Dermatology (BAD). It is a Medical Society, registered as a charity.
The BSD aims to promote, for the public benefit, the knowledge and teaching of dermatopathology and to stimulate appropriate medical and scientific research relevant to this speciality. Membership is open to medically and scientifically qualified individuals with an interest in dermatopathology.
The Annual Meeting of the British Society for Dermatopathology takes place in early July each year and is part of the British Association of Dermatology Annual Meeting.
The BSD also runs a self-assessment meeting as a BAD pre-conference. The archive of educational material, including digitised histological slides from previous BSD self-assessment sessions is available at the Leeds virtual pathology website:
ABOUT THE ROYAL COLLEGE OF PATHOLOGISTS’ DIPLOMA IN DERMATOPATHOLOGY:
The Royal College of Pathologists awards the Diploma in Dermatopathology. The closing date for entry to the examination is in early January. Further details are available at the RCPath website:
