Fellowships - sources of funding for research, education, or travel to overseas meetings.
All BAD and Dowling Club awards are awarded by one committee after the Winter and Summer closing dates to ensure that the distribution of funds is as fair as possible.
Postgraduate fellowships are open to BAD members only.
(This does not apply to the Richard B. Stoughton Memorial Fellowship)
Richard B. Stoughton Memorial Fellowship
This fellowship is available every year to enable a Dermatology resident in the USA to attend the BAD Annual Meeting. The award includes:

Waived registration fee

Hotel accommodation
-
Admittance to BADfest (an evening of entertainment, food and drink)
BSDS Travelling Fellowship
One or two awards of up to £1,500 each are available to assist dermatologists to participate in training in surgical dermatology. The closing date is

Fondation René Touraine Fellowships
The René Touraine Foundation for dermatological research is an organisation with the aim of assisting with collaborations between research laboratories and clinical departments in Europe. These research fellowships are awarded to hospital-based clinical dermatologists and pre or post-doctoral research fellows, one of which must be European.
There are five grants available:

One Fellowship of 18,000€ for a long exchange

Four Fellowships of 4,500€ for a short exchange
