Once a dermatology specialist trainee has completed their training to join the specialist register and become a Consultant Dermatologist, they receive their certificate of completion of training, or CCT.
Post-CCT Fellowships offer the opportunity to do complete further training to develop competencies and capabilities above the level of the Dermatology CCT curriculum. The fellowships are designed to develop tertiary level expertise, usually for specialist centres for specific area of dermatology, and to fulfil sub-specialist needs.
Fellowship training usually occurs over 12 months but may be extended to support less than full time training.
