e-poster submissions

If you have had a poster accepted for the BAD 97th Annual Meeting, either fior the main meeting of for the special interest groups you are asked to provide an e-poster as well as bringin a hardcopy poster for display at the meeting.

The 97th Annual meeting of the British Association of dermatologists will have an E-poster display within the poster area. The display of these posters will only be available to those attending the meeting; however, they will be available to all members following the meeting via the members section of the website. The computers will have locked USB ports so that no data can be copied from the computers.

E-Poster submissions should be in the form of an uploaded PDFfile; this can be the same file and layout guidelines that are used to create the hardcopy poster. Using the following link, please log on using your original submission email address and password.

Please then select your accepted poster and upload the file. There is a file limit of 8mb.


  • All posters should be PORTRAIT, measuring a maximum of 1m width x 1.5m high
  • Judging of the posters will be based on a combination of: Suitability of the subject for a poster display, original scientific information, teaching qualities and visual impact.

For uniformity and simplicity, it is best to arrange your poster in the following format:

  • Introduction: a few brief sentences that state the purpose of the study
  • Methods
  • Results: illustrations, tables, figures, graphs and photos.
  • Conclusions: a list or summary paragraph of conclusions.

Title, authors and institutional affiliation

  • All lettering for titles should be at least not less than 2.5cm high.
  • The heading should include the authors’ names and affiliations

Tables, charts, drawings and illustrations, as required

  • Lettering for text in the body of the poster should be legible for comfortable reading at 2 metres away, using no less than 1cm high type.
  • Type should be in a sans serif face (e.g. Arial) that is clear and precise.  Do not use all capital letters.
  • Headings – be consistent with headings, whether they are all capital letters, boldface or italicised.
  • To help viewers follow the flow of ideas, number or letter each illustration and cue it into your text.  Each chart or table should have a label or explanation.

                      Guidance to Authors of abstracts for submission to the Historic Symposium
                          1.       Abstracts should be factual, original and well researched
                          2.       The subject should be an historical aspect of Dermatology eg history of a disorder; eminent                                                        

                          3.       Case reports are not appropriate
                          4.       Please see previous programmes to avoid subject repetition

Authors will be notified of the results by  the end of March 2017
